Our get together season starts with recognition of the women and girls at university that we have sponsored through our scholarship programme. Come check out the interest groups and sign up for the next year.
Most of our friendship and camaraderie happens in our Interest Groups. These are usually themed monthly in-person gatherings. Open to members only. Please check the interest group page for details.
All of our meeting are hybrid meetings, using Zoom and an in-person gathering. Attendees are welcome to wear a medical mask, if they wish. We meet at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church Hall, 4235 Departure Bay Road, Nanaimo. The Speaker Series events take place at 7 p.m. from October to May (except December). Meetings are open to members, friends, and guests. For guest enquiries, and to be invited to the virtual meeting, please contact us.

Our two big events in 2025, Women's History Month lunch featuring speaker Dorothy Dittrich, the 2022 Governor General Award-winning playwright of The Piano Teacher and our Festive Fundraiser were very successful. We reached out to the community, through Dorothy's talk, with over half of the audience being non CFUW members. It was an enjoyable event that raised the profile of CFUW in Nanaimo. The Festive Fundraiser for Scholarships, combined with the summer Presidents' picnic raised funds to support all our scholarships. This year we disbursed more funds that ever before. Thank you for your support!
